Know how people always say
"You're called to specific areas to teach specific people..."
and it never feels true?
This week I had my "I'm sent here for this reason"- moment.
So the lady above me in the picture is a LA named 심연선 (shimyungsun), she was baptized about 20+ years ago and became LA shortly after. Since we've met with her, she has been going through Chemotherapy for Breast Cancer. She is the prettiest, kindest lady ever and has made every visit with her a delight. Since she's been going through treatment she has lost all of her hair, including her eyelashes and eyebrows. This week while we were at her house, she remarked on how she liked how I did my eyebrows, and then asked if I could do hers.
It was seriously one of the most amazing experiences being able to stand over this woman, and literally help her feel strong and beautiful just by having her makeup done. The entire time my companion was crying beside me and the Spirit was so strong. I am so grateful for the opportunity I've had to meet her.
She has honestly opened up a Christ-like love in my soul that I didn't know existed.
Other happenings this week:
IT RAINED!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We made Oatmeal Chocolate-Chip cookies with a member
We had Zone Conference with the Mission President and His wife
Sleepover with Sister Mineer and Sister Washburn
Walked....
It was another great week in Korea. I can't believe I've been here for two months already!
Time flies when you're having fun!
LOVE, SISTAH P xo.
