This week was another good one in the amazing country of Korea.
It never fails to amaze me the stuff that happens while living in Korea.
Every week we volunteer at a YWCA making lunch for Gma's and Gpa's that lived through the Korean war.
They are HILARIOUS!
This week because it is Korean Thanksgiving, a television crew came in to where we make food.
They were just showing everyone how the food is made, why we make it,
Then they saw me...
A FOREIGNER SURROUNDED BY KOREANS!
They freaked out!!!!!!
So watch your korean channel folks because I'm gonna be on it!
This week we also had the opportunity to attend "Mission Tour",
which means a member of the 70 comes and speaks to us.
The meeting was also in English! Woo!
My Mission President spoke on Anger and how it impacts others around you.
For me, this talked really spoke to me.
Growing up, all throughout being a teenager, I was so angry at the world, at the people that surrounded me and just life in general. I didn't think it was fair that I was in a car accident, I didn't think it was fair that people were sometimes really really mean, I didn't think it was fair that I messed up my knee only after 1 year of Rugby.
My life wasn't fair.
BUT...
Nobody's life is fair.
We aren't put on this Earth to live a fairytale and never have bad things happen to us. Our purpose is to grow and learn and flourish even though around us, might be really, really hard.
Through recognizing our difficulties and dealing with them in a constructive way we can grow up and let go of that anger that might otherwise tear us down.
I'm grateful for all the experiences in my life that have finally helped me get to this conclusion.
Living in Korea and being a missionary has been the opposite of easy.
BUT....
IT HAS BEEN WORTH IT!
I've learnt so much about life, myself, others.
I'm so grateful for Korea.
LOVE, SISTAH P xo.
