Aloha Amigos and Amigas! The "Same Old, Same Old" happened this week. Once again, lots of Korean, lots of humbling experiences.. The usual. But some fun stuff happened too! This week we said goodbye to 6 missionaries headed to Busan, Korea, San Fernando, California, and Vancouver, Canada. They were all SO great and will definitely be missed.
Next is Sunday Night Devotional!! Normally we have a speaker, apostle or otherwise, but this time they told us we'd be watching Elder David A. Bednar's "Character of Christ" (if you haven't seen it. SEE IT NOW!). Anyways, most of us had already seen it, so we were all napping, just looking forward to the movies afterwards. We listened to the entire talk, and as soon as it finished everyone stood up. As most of you know I'm pretty blind without glasses, so I couldn't see what was going on!
In walks ELDER DAVID A. BEDNAR!!!!!
He went on to lead a Q&A, where anyone could ask him questions. His answers were all crazy insightful, and you could just feel of the wisdom and knowledge he holds.
The Church is true, folks!
Next was P-Day, where we had a nice little picnic out on the field, then played Kick-Ball! For the most part missionaries are all pretty calm, cool and collected.
Until we play sports.
Elders were going CRAZYYYYYYYYYY!!!!
There was definitely a Spirit of Contention out there on that field.
(I got sun though, so...winning?)
The next eventful thing was Thursday night at approximately 10:30pm!
Bed time is always 10:30, and that night I was so proud of myself, as I was lying down to bed at 10:25(early like always...NOT),
Then a Sister decided to set a burrito on FIRE!!
SO, the fire alarm goes off, sisters everywhere are freaking out, (literally as if a bomb went off...), my companion is screaming at me to get OUT, and I'm running around in my "g's", trying to put clothes on, (didn't get that far), she threw her teeny-tiny robe at me, and off we were!
Sooooo.....
There is Sister Parcells... In the middle of the MTC grounds pretty much in my underwear.
All I can say is,
Cheers to the Freakin' Weekend.
Anyways, this week I aspire to keep my clothes on and continue learning mucho Korean so that in 15 days, when I land in Korea... I'm not completely drowning.. YAY! Anyways, I would love birthday letters asap Amigos and Amigas!
Proclaim your love for me!
Haha I love you babies!
LOVE, PARCELLS 자매
