I haven't written in a while but pictures are worth a thousand words right?!
This week was a GOOD one!
It was filled with so many things, I forget half of them. A lot of our time was spent LA hunting which pretty much means walking for hours and hours looking for houses that don't exist, but it was awesome to walk around in the area I live in now, and really see everything in it. This week we went to the Seoul Mission, to go to the temple and it was such a beautiful day! Of course, every temple trip has to consist of a trip to Taco Bell...it was delicious. On Friday night we threw a Halloween Party! It was SO fun! My companion and I dressed up as the Book of Mormon and the Bible. Lots of people came, and we bobbed for appled, decorated pumpkins and masks, and even had a haunted house!! The Elders were in charge of that, and they did such a good job! They had eyeballs (peeled grapes), brains (spaghetti) and random other things, and everyone was so freaked out!
They did good.
Some of the funniest things that happen on my mission, I completely forget about.. (like everything).
This week's funny moment was at the Halloween Party..
It goes something like this
[I'm casually sitting at the pumpkin painting table]
A mom from our English class walks up to me and says, "Wow, your eyebrows are LONG!"
[Me]: "Uhhh...Yeah... Haha I guess they need to be trimmed a little.."
[Mom]: "Yeah wow... Are they fake? They look REALLY long.."
[I'm now somewhere between embarrassed and annoyed..]
[Me]: "Yeah well because I'm a missionary, I don't really have a lot of time to get my eyebrows waxed, sorry!"
[Mom, pointing at her eyeLASHES]: "I got my "Eyebrows" extensions this week"
[Me pointing at my eyeLASHES]: "You mean eyeLASHES?!"
[Mom]: "Oh yeah, those hahaha..."
[Me failing at teaching the people in my English class anything...]
FAIL.
Anyways, it is WINTER IN KOREA!
Its similar to an Albertan winter.
Beautiful blue skies, Sunshine, and Cold, Dry Air.
Beautiful!!
Korea is the coolest.
The work is hastening in the land of 봉전 and I'm super stoked to be here, meeting tons of new people
every.single.day.
I know I am doing the best thing, and I couldn't be happier doing it.
BE KIND THIS WEEK FOLKS!
Love, Sistah P
